Pre-Tryout Brushup Clinics 2021

Pre-Tryout Brushup Clinics 2021      Week of 3-29-21

Clinics are run by Rebels / Hawks / and Lady Islanders coaches at the Dix Hills Twin Rinks.     Players from Rebels / Hawks / Lady Islanders   & LI Royals do not need release or permission to attend.   Players from all other organizations must have release or written permission.

Cost:  $30 per session.   Cash or check at door,  no credit cards or ATM available at site.  All players must sign in at the Rebels Room in the old rink.   There are limited openings for each session based on rink protocol.

Dix Hills Ice Rink Game Protocols

The Dix Hills Ice Rink is open to game play as of this upcoming Friday, February 12th. Attached are the rink guidelines.  Here are the rinks mandatory protocols:

• CDC approved face coverings must be worn at all time, except during game play

• Players can enter 15 minutes prior to the game.  All Players must come fully dressed to the facility and wearing a face covering prior to entry to the rink.  

• Upon entering the building, everyone will have your temperature taken, players must fill out Covid questionnaire.  

• NO Locker Rooms, we will create 8 zones (4 for each rink) for putting on skates and helmet only. 

• Players will bring hockey bags behind each bench area

• Approved face coverings can only be removed when the player is putting on their helmet or during game play. * (Players may opt to wear an approved face covering if they wish.) 

• Bench personnel must wear approved face covering at all times.

• After Games, players must leave the rink ASAP.  No undressing in the lobby. 

• Players and bench personnel must socially distance while on the bench as much as possible.

• Absolutely no spitting while on the bench, ice or anywhere in the building.

• No team celebration or support around the goalie at the end of the game.

• No handshake will be permitted at the end of the game.

• As of 3/15/21  Two  (2) spectators per player are allowed in the building.

 

Buddy Skate 2021 Cancelled

Buddy Skate 2021 scheduled for January 18th has been cancelled.    We promise to bring it back next year in 2022 bigger and better than ever.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers Contest

ATTENTION! DEADLINE 10/29/2020 at 10pm!

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are highlighting youth hockey players from their youth hockey partners in the area. Eight partner programs were selected and our organization is one of them! One player will be selected from entries across our three programs - Long Island Rebels, Dix Hills Hawks, and Lady Islanders - to be featured on a trading card developed in conjunction with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Interested players, with parents/guardians permission, should email info@lirebels.com by October 29th with a headshot or action shot AND answers to the following questions:

HOCKEY  IS  BACK

We are so happy to announce that we have gotten the green light to go ahead with our hockey season and begin practices! NYS is allowing us to get back on the ice and we are working on schedules right now. Please check back here shortly for all schedules, we hope to being immediately after Labor Day!

All Parent Meeting will be the week we are back at the rink!

USA HOCKEY REGISTRATION:  Each person/parent needs to be responsible for processing their own or their child’s registration. All Members (players, coaches, managers and volunteers) are required to register online at https://membership.usahockey.com/ .   There is a $46.00 USAH fee as well as an $8.00 NYS Hockey fee collected during online registration for participants age 7 or older. Participants must register using their legal name, not a nickname or shortened name.   The USA Hockey registration numbers will be collected prior to the start of practices.
