Sports Swap – Saturday, October 14th 2:00 – 4:00 PM

Author: John Zerillo/Wednesday, October 11, 2017/Categories: Uncategorized

Sponsored by Councilwoman, Susan A. Berland. It’s not too late to donate any type of sporting equipment to receive a voucher to use on Saturday to pick up donated gear that fits your child. Gear can be turned in up till this Friday, October 13th.  Great place to clean out your garage and donate your used sporting equipment to others in need.  Or, if you do not have gear to hand in you can still participate in the sport swap. Each item picked up will cost just $5, which will be donated to the Huntington Youth Council. If your kids are grown and you have sporting equipment that is cluttering your garage, donate them this weekend to help local families / kids with the high expense of good sporting equipment.   Click here for flyer

Peewee Hawks Combine Hockey and Bowling

Author: John Zerillo/Tuesday, January 31, 2017/Categories: Peewee

This past weekend the PW Hawks played a game on Saturday up in Newburgh and then on Sunday in the Division 1 arena on the campus of West Point.  Besides taking in the sites of West Point, with a tour by retired Col. John James from the West Point Academy the team took part in the “First Annual PW Hawks Bowling Challenge” on the campus.  After a fierce battle of knocking down pins, Team Ziccardi came out victorious and now enjoy equal rights to the Hawks Bowling trophy.  Members of the winning team are Captain Vincent Ziccardi, Michael Young, Alessandro Giulietti, and Jaden Pariti.  All players battled and showed their competitive juices while watching the pins get knocked down.  Overall It was a fun night and weekend for the PW Hawks.

Nothing we do can stop Buddy Skate from being Great.   After several date changes and then having to schedule it on a Thursday night Buddy Skate was once again great.

There are so many parents, players and volunteers involved we never get to say thank you to everyone.   Thank-you for making it a special day for so many.
